The 2022 Artemis Academy for Girls is an all-female STEM club for students currently in the 5th, 6th or 7th grades. This cohort of rising middle school girls will be created through an application process that will open a virtual (or in person – we prefer in person) after-school club meeting twice a month leading up to the on-campus STEM camp held at the Scobee Education Center the week of July 25th and concluding with the Scobee Girls STEM Summit on Friday, July 29th.
The Artemis Academy experience is designed to inspire girls to persist and excel in their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics interests. Meetings will feature guest speakers, STEAM activities and opportunities for girls to build their knowledge of space science and the expeditionary skills required to be successful in tomorrow’s STEM careers. The Alamo Chapter of AFCEA has generously sponsored all accepted participants!
