Remembering NASA’s Heroes: NASA’s Day of Remembrance Virtual Art Exhibit 2021
20 Years on the ISS
Call for Student Artists
Grades 3-8
We are now accepting student artist submissions, grades 3-8, for the NASA Day of Remembrance Art Exhibit to be held at the Scobee Education Center at San Antonio College. NASA’s Day of Remembrance honors those who lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery. On this day, NASA pays tribute to the astronauts on Apollo 1, Space Shuttles Challenger STS 51L and Columbia STS 107.
This year’s theme is celebrating the International Space Station, the astronauts who have crewed it, the incredible research they have conducted and it’s 20 years of orbiting the earth.
Off the Earth, For the Earth
#ISS20
“…their legacy lives on as the International Space Station fulfills its promise to help us learn to live and work in space and move farther into the solar system. We see our lost friends in the strivings of so many missions to take humans to new destinations and to unlock the secrets of our universe. And we honor them by making our dreams of a better tomorrow reality and by acting to improve life for all of humanity.” NASA
